VCD – Advertising & Graphic Design

heyhippie.co

Hi there! My name is Cianna and I am a Calgary based Graphic Designer.

I always knew I would go forward in life in a creative way. When I reached the age of 12, I knew that Graphic Design was my calling. Art was never just about drawing pretty things, it was and still is more than that for me. It’s where I found a safe space, an outlet for me to be me.

As an artist, I put so much of myself in the ideas behind my work. I find motivation in situations where I can learn new things and expand my horizons. I love to create through the lens of the past, finding inspiration in all things vintage and retro. I am also inspired by the beauty of nature and the beauty of people. I love bringing people's visions to life, which is why I put my heart and soul into everything I create.

Spin City Records

Spin City is a retail music shop, meant to serve the increasing number of consumers interested in music products.
The store carries new and used music from every era. We want to leave customers with genuine connections, an unbeatable feeling of nostalgia, and a smile on their face that continues to bring them back to us.

Serein

Serein is a skincare brand with a special devotion to their friend’s happiness and confidence. At Serein, we only use the best ingredients for the best skin. Serein takes a special devotion in caring for the environment, making sure to always use eco-friendly packaging.

Spotify Audiobooks

This project focuses on a hypothetical ad campaign concept for Spotify.

The problem here is to find new ways to encourage new and current users to engage with and discover the world of Audiobooks. The solution I came up with is for Spotify to recommend audiobooks based on users’ favourite artists or songs.

Un:Junk

Un:Junk is the ultimate thrifting magazine for fashion-forward and environmentally conscious readers. We empower readers to make more conscious and sustainable fashion choices and challenge them to think differently about the world of thrift.

Collaboration project with April Zabos.

WLOYA

*SENSITIVE TOPIC*

TWLOHA is dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and invest directly into treatment and recovery. The campaign is titled #WLOYA (Write Love On Your Arms), and I will be inviting people to draw a ring on their wrist if they are struggling with depression or want to support the cause, and post it to social media if so desired. This campaign includes an app, a social media presence, an informational brochure that will be sent to homes, bus stop adverts, and billboards.

This site may contain artworks with provocative content that some viewers may find uncomfortable or upsetting. AUArts supports a culture of non-censorship and ongoing conversations about contemporary art.
