Jodie Stevens (Jodie/she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist who uses sculpture, video, installation, and performance to investigate their lived experience within the medical, educational, and family systems. Complex PTSD, neurodiversity, misdiagnosis, and chronic pain are explored to create room for joy and evolution.

Fast Time: Are you a Time Traveller too?

"Are you a Time Traveller too?" is a part of the larger series "Cutting the Ties That Bind" by Jodie Stevens. The larger series is a process of collecting artwork, artifacts, memories, documents and then dismantling the connections. "Are you a time Traveller too?" is a physical representation of actively dissolving and cutting a lifetime of PTSD memories. By cutting the past connections, the present and future has new possibilities.

Installation of the study of time with three identical time lapse video's of an amaryllis bulb being planted and screened at varying speeds from slow, medium and fast time.
