VCD – Character Design & Illustration
ko-fi.com/cupcakesinspaceI am a character designer, illustrator, and occasional animator with a deep passion for storytelling. My work focuses heavily on themes of growth and self-discovery, pulling concepts and ideas from genres like fantasy, horror, mystery and sometimes sci-fi. I like to push juxtaposing concepts together to see how they might work, exploring ways to twist and bend different tropes to create new and interesting stories to share with the world.
Animation
Various animated projects I have worked on.
Death's Door
"Death's Door" is a story create for a hypothetical/potential animated show. The following is the pitch/summary of the series:
"The Gate to the Afterlife has been broken, and only four teenage girls have what it takes to stop the evil vengeful ghouls that have escaped into the world of the living! Inspired by shows like Pretty Cure, Soul Eater, and Ruby Gloom, Death's Door blends the aesthetics of goth, emo, and scene subcultures with magical girl heroism in a series that focuses on loss, friendship, growth, and the ways we cope with grief."
Environmental Storytelling
Various environment-focused pieces.
Sequential Stories
Comics and comic-adjacent pieces.
Strange Growth
Strange Growth is a story created for a hypothetical kid's cartoon. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where plants and animals have mutated to grow to enormous sizes, following two orphan kids and an amnesiac robot as they try to navigate the strange world around them.
