Oken Character: Gemma Fotia Gemma is the protagonist and player character of the project OKEN. She's a a definitive spitfire and an adventurous young mage who sets out on a journey to save her town after an attack left it in shambles.
Oken Character: Aldus Ignosi Aldus is a non playable character in the project OKEN. A Wise and strict mentor to Gemma, who oversees Gemma's journey during the game.

OKEN

OKEN is a 2D Metroidvania platformer game, taking place in Oken, a fictional continent where more than half of the landmass is an immense desert landscape. The player would take control of Gemma, a young apprentice mage who explores the hostile environments of the land in search for fragments of a magical crystal that was taken from her hometown. Gameplay would involve environmental puzzles using magic and tools Gemma would obtain exploring the land.

Town of Beryl The home town of Gemma Fotia and the starting location of the game OKEN. It is home to a Deitree, a magical tree that provides healing energy and protection to the area around it. The destruction of its crystal is the driving force of the game and Gemma.
Pixel Style frame: Woods outside Beryl Pixel art style frame of a forest outside of Beryl, its home to odd twisted flora and strange dark purple stones that invade and change the wildlife around them.
Symoa Palace Symoa is a Kingdom on the south end of the continent and is home to an extremely lavish palace crafted out of the Strange dark purple stones found all over the continent.
Pixel Style frame: Symoa Interior Pixel style frame of Symoa Palace. This area would be on of the last areas the player would explore as it is the farthest from the town of Beryl, its use of the strange dark stones creates and otherworldly appearance and feel.
Oud Desert A massive Desert that takes up most of the continent, it is a difficult place to enter and even more difficult to survive in, in game it would be one the largest area and have some of the most difficult enemies for the player to face.
Pixel Style frame: Caverns beneath Oud Desert A pixel style frame of the Caverns beneath the Oud Desert. The Caverns would be the last area the player would explore and would reveal the origin of the of Oud Desert and the strange dark purple rocks that litter the landscape above. It is a complex series of tunnels and chasms and would make the player utilize all of their skills they have acquired up to this point.
