Primary Packaging I wanted to hearken back to a retro look with this design. The goal was to elicit nostalgia while introducing something new (the handle). I wanted the onlooker to reminisce the celebrations & good times that they had with family & friends drinking a couple of tasty brews.
Handle Function The handle is made of a PLA BASED (Plant resin) Wood filament made of cork, wood dust, or other powdered wood derivatives. Using the handle will also ensure that your beer stays at a refrigerated drinking temperature for longer, as your hands will not warm the can. The handle is tension based which means that by pushing the handle in you can unhook it from under the rim of the can.
Secondary Packaging The same signifiers as the primary packaging are used to evoke an emotional. I also wanted it to be easily recognized as our new beer. Having the handles protruding out of the sides is to evoke curiosity from the consumer. The box also comes with a handle so it could be easily carried from the pick-up location to destination, but also so the consumer doesn’t awkwardly carry the beer with the handles on the cans.
Beerd Ale Series The concept behind this package design was to target a niche group of people that would interact with the packaging. The goal was to make the design "instagramable" as per project requirements. This package design was aimed specifically for label peelers.
Beerd Ale Series This special line of Beerd beers allow the consumer to peel off the label and wear it as a beard.
It would be encouraged for consumers to take photos of themselves and their friends wearing the beard to post on Instagram as demonstrated in the ad.

Unknown Encounters: Black Holes Unknown Encounters: Black Holes is the first video of NASA's new Education Youtube series. It takes a data driven subject and simplifies the scientific information with a strong narrative. The story plays out from the perspective of an astronaut stranded in space. With the help of his computer counterpart, Eugene, the two must learn how to navigate the different stages of a black hole in order to survive and, hopefully, escape.
Dairyland Christmas and May the Fourth The Dairyland brand celebrates the holidays and Star Wars Day. This project is meant to explore advertising a product while celebrating a special occasion and holiday. I integrated various techniques to create a cohesive style of motion while keeping the brand/product as the main focus of the ad narrative.
Helly Hansen Cinemagraph These 3 pieces are seamless gif loops (cinemagraph) that could be used on Websites and social media such as Instagram and Facebook for advertising.
